Throat Region (Including the Larynx and Vocal Cords)

To assess this region internally, an ENT specialist utilizes a laryngoscope, a slender flexible fiber-optic instrument, which is regarded as the most reliable diagnostic approach. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans are not suitable for this purpose.

Thyroid

For thyroid evaluations, the most effective techniques include echocardiography, laboratory tests, and/or a specific MRI scan that focuses on the soft tissue within the neck region. Additionally, we provide an MRI scan that emphasizes the neck’s arterial structures, known as Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA). If there are concerns in the neck area, an additional MRI scan of the soft tissue can be incorporated.

However, it is important to note that this scan has limitations, and seeking advice from an internist may be a more appropriate course of action.
